Virender
Sekhri earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering at
Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani, India in 1965 and his
Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering at Illinois Institute of
Technology, Chicago, Illinois in 1967.
In 1966 Mr.
Sekhri joined the Engineering Services Division of Westinghouse Electric
Corp located in Chicago, Illinois. In 1984 Mr. Sekhri was offered the
challenge of establishing and managing a high tech engineering group to
provide solutions and address the growing need of various industrial
customers in state of the art digital technologies.
During
various levels of management positions with Westinghouse, Mr. Sekhri
received numerous honors, awards and recognition in the areas of engineering
excellence, marketing and customer satisfaction. In 1998, after the merger
of Westinghouse with Siemens, Mr. Sekhri became the Manager of System
Integration Technologies for Siemens/Siemens Westinghouse providing
technical resources and support to various departments/business units of
Siemens in the global market.
Mr. Sekhris
wife Frances is chairperson for the Fine Arts and Foreign Language
department of a Chicago suburban public school. The Sekhris have four
children, 3 boys & a girl, who have graduated as engineers in various fields of engineering at University of Illinois,
Urbana/Champaign.
After 36
years of association with the same company, which includes over 17 years of
management experience, Mr. Sekhri took an early retirement in January 2002
and during the month of February 2002, established The I Square S Group.
